This is a very critical customer facing role where you will work with a broad range of stake holders both within an organization and outside of the organization.  This position is part of a newly formed Cloud Services group reporting to the Director of Cloud Services.

Tech Stack:

Responsibilities:

  • Diagnose customer needs, guide them on how to use Sensity API with sample code
  • Prototype scenario customer is building so that we can guide customer and create win-win for both customer and Sensity
  • Formulate best practices to be deployed continuously across customers
  • Own and manage the developer sandbox environment ensuring developer use cases can be achieved
  • Administer developer licenses and permissions across developers and production environments
  • Production support for application providers, monitoring APIs & data
  • Provide technical support to application developers using API framework
  • Track and drive resolution/improvements to API defficiences
  • Document developer FAQs and maintain the knowledge base

Skills & Ideal Experience:

  • 8-10 years related experience, ideally in a fast-paced, growing start-up company
  • BS in Computer Science, or equivalent experience
  • Solid understanding of REST API(s)
  • Broader experience working with various technology enabling web and mobile world - Html, Javascript, Nodejs, Php, Jsp, Servlet, developing application on android and apple devices
  • Good programming skills in one or more of Python/Php/HTML/JavaScript/Mobile App development, and demonostrated ability to grasp new programming languages quickly
  • Excellent understanding of HTTP(S), various RFC, keep-alive, HTTP return codes, caching, cookies, various HTTP headers, forward and reverse proxy etc.
  • Working knowledge of internet security, API Authentication, SSL, HTTPS, TLS, DTLS etc.
  • Excellent understanding of various web/application servers - tomcat/apache, nginx, IIS, jboss etc. and its configuration management
  • Demonstrated experience working with customer from inception to delivery
  • Previous experience working on various tool sets both on client side and server side (application logs, access logs etc.) to debug, analyze API/application from issues to performance perspective
  • Prior experience as part of customer application development architecture process, with ability to guide customer on building low latency application etc.
  • Knowledge in API/SaaS domain working closely with product management and customer side engineering teams
  • Ability to take customer feedback to engineering/product management teams and insert influence in the development cycle

  • Actively Participate in architecture and design discussion

  • Keep up with Linux securitypatches and updates and be able to apply to cloud systems

  • Respond to externals on Sensity product security related questions, security audits
  • Deep dive into the systems to evaluate which commercial or opensource security systems will fit into our infrastructure
  • Develop tools to help scale  prevention, detection, and mitigation of intrusions, DDoS attacks

Skills & Experience:

  • 8-10 years related experience, ideally in a fast-paced, growing start-up company.

  • Extensive experience working on actionable intelligent, possibly self serve alert with building standard operating procedure/run book.

  • Experience building various monitoring metrics/analytics both around API and cloud platform.
  • Ability to diagnose complex performance issues end to end and determine root cause.

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Develop requirements documents with input from cross-functional stakeholders including sales, engineering, customers
  • Own and define the “interface” by defining structure, content, format of API’s and work with engineering to evaluate appropriate protocols
  • Partner with business development, developer relations and other cross-functional teams to define commercial features including pricing models, billing, and other “business” aspects of Sensity’s application platform
  • Communicate, influence and work with stake holders both inside and outside of Sensity to ensure the ecosystem app partners can seamlessely deliver applications to market

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Manage developer documentation and a self-service portal - Drive the effort to give all development partners self-service developer documentation that is always currently, helpful and easily accessible.

  • Oversee Sensity’s Developer Forum – Working closely with the Developer Technical Support ensuring the forum becomes a vibrant community, vigorously active with current and useful information.

Senior Product Manager (Managed Services)

Sensity is actively seeking a savvy product management professional to join our applications team as a Sr. Product Manager of Managed Services in Sunnyvale, CA.

This individual will define and drive the success of our global networking and managed services solutions.  As Sensity looks to scale and manage a global IoT Light Sensory Network this role will be pivotal in driving and managing the services and applications platform. He or she will work closely with Network Engineering, Network Operations, and Field Services teams as well as spending time on the front line with Sensity customers. 

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Understand market dynamics and maintain a current market analysis

  • Partner with our Field Services Solution Engineering team in the field in the definition of products/solutions for near-term commercial prospects

Technical Skills/Experience Desired:

  • Deep knowledge and product management experience in cloud/XaaS architectures/offers, or web/web-services-based applications
  • 2+ years of experience in Internet of Things (IoT), M2M or related technology

  • Excellent understanding of managed service provider operational business models and SaaS market drivers and requirements.

  • Understanding of Enterprise networking technologies, public Wifi, retail analytics, M2M, and emerging trends in cloud computing and networking

  • Solid technical background including cloud/XaaS architectures is preferred
